Newbold School

Newbold School

Project details

Newbold School required an improvement in the fragmented layout, caused by the school being split over two separate buildings. This resulted in unclear way finding and growing security concerns. The School, at full capacity also required additional classrooms and teaching spaces to continue to grow and thrive.  The design proposed the re-configuration of the existing classrooms, linking the two existing buildings together with a new 2-storey extension and creating a new nursery block, located adjacent to the other classrooms. By implementing this design, the school would not only have an increased number of classrooms and separate nursery block, but also have new staff facilities which did not exist before. Visitors are also greeted with a new improved clear entrance.
