The Parade

Project details

The Parade is a mini regeneration project in which JAIA Architects have proposed to erect 2 storey extension above the existing retail units situated along The Parade in Watford. The site lies within the Civic Core Conservation Area and is also situated within the Town Centre Primary Shopping Area. Due to the sensitive site location – it is facing pedestrianised busy high street (The Parade) to the south and falls in a conservation area – intensive design discussions have been held with LPA covering wider context and future development of the area. JAIA Architects developed the scheme in coordination with specialist consultants to address various technical requirements and concerns. The final design which features distinctive modern pitched gable with brick infill panels was well received by the LPA.
