JAIA took part in a competition for the Peabody Small Projects Panel. Having been given a freedom to choose a site from 5 Peabody owned estates, JAIA has chosen Pembury estates which shows a good example of highly intensified urban residential area to challenge innovative urban residential designs. By staggering, shifting and flipping the internal spatial arrangements, JAIA was able to create a private roof garden space for each apartment, maximize aspect and optimize internal space giving all duplex units dual aspects.
